Day 01: Leh
There is regular flight or road services from Jammu, Delhi, Chandigarh and Srinagar to Leh making the tour simpler for you. You can take advantage of flight services from Shimla as well to reach Leh with all the comfort. Arrive in Leh as per your suitability from where our representatives will accompany you for the tour.
Day 02: Leh (Visit renowned Monasteries of Leh)
Today you will explore the monastic side of the Leh Ladakh which is as old as 11th century. The Shey monastery was built by King Deldon Namgyal in the memory of his father Singay Namgyal. Inside this monastic complex you will see a huge statue of Buddha Shalyamuni. Made up of copper sheets and adorned with gold, this state is the second largest statue of Buddha in Ladakh. Then move towards the Thicksey monastery which represents an outstanding example of Ladakhi architecture and is located 18 km away from Leh. Finally visit the Hemis Monastery which was established in 1620 by Lama Tagstang Raspa. The monastery was then built by Palden Sara under the benefaction of King Singe Namgyal and is 50 km away from the Leh city.
Day 03: Leh
If you want to quench your thirst to explore the ancient culture of Ladakh and Ladakhis then today’s tour is like reward for you. Then you will visit Stok Palace that has fabulous collection of precious heirlooms, Royal crowns, copper coins, precious stones and jewels, prayer instruments and material. After that get ready to explore the Leh market from where you can purchase traditional dresses and colorful coral and turquoise jewelry which represent the craftsmanship of Ladakh.
Day 4: Leh-Khardungla –Leh
Have breakfast and then get ready to enjoy the marvelous views of nature from the top of the highest motorable pass in the world (5600 m) Khardungla pass. Spend the day in the serene ambience enjoying the wonders of nature.
Day 05: Leh (Excursion Alchi - 67 Kms)
Get ready to visit the famous Alchi Monastery, located at the distance of 67 km from Leh. It is the oldest monastery of Ladakh and has two main temples such as Alchi Du-khang and the Sum-tsek. Apart from this other structures can also be seen like The Temple of Manjushri, Lha-khang Soma, LotsawaLha-khang and chortens. The brilliant constructor of this outstanding structure was the RinchenZangpo (958-1055).
Day 06: Leh – Delhi
It’s time to say good bye to Leh as the tour has reached its end. Have breakfast at the hotel room and then check your luggage to proceed to the airport to board the flight to Delhi.
